The recent snowy and icy weather postponed construction planned on one of Sioux Falls busiest streets. Now the city has announced that construction will begin on Monday.
Concrete repairs on 41st Street, from Kelley Avenue to Kiwanis Avenue, are scheduled to begin. Westbound lanes from Kelley Avenue to Kiwanis Avenue will be closed for the first phase of repairs, but traffic will be maintained in two lanes.
Phase 2 of the project, repairing the concrete from the Big Sioux Bridge to Kiwanis Avenue in the eastbound lanes, is expected to start in three weeks.
The project is expected to be finished by June 7th.
Traffic delays are to be expected.
