Another school-based clinic is now open in sioux falls. A ribbon cutting for Falls Community Health/Hayward Elementary School-Based Clinic was held Thursday morning.
This is the third school-based clinic that has been opened in the city through a joint partnership with the Sioux Falls Health Department and the Sioux Falls School District.
The clinic will provide dental services and comprehensive medical care on site. City officials say school-based clinics are a growing movement nationally.
Mayor mike huether said, "There are folks out there, in Sioux Falls, that truly are struggling to meet those fundamental, basic healthcare needs of themselves or their family."
Falls Community Health has a downtown clinic location where they provide primary health and dental care regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. They also have school-based clinics at Hawthorne and Terry Redlin Elementary Schools.
