More Snow Coming
January 05, 2010 3:17 PM
Another snow storm is on its way to South Dakota. Snow should start falling tonight, and as much as six inches can be expected through tomorrow night. With cleanup of the last storm not even all the way complete, we had a hard time finding anyone looking forward to the next downpour. KDLT’s Matt Johnson has more.
DeAnn says "I don't do well in bad weather, driving wise. Get a little scared."
One of the biggest snowstorms in the last 30 years is still fresh on South Dakota’s mind.
Tom says "I plowed for three days."
Troy says "Shoveling and cold."
And the anticipating snowstorm doesn't have them excited.
Curtis says "The opposite of excitement for me."
Troy says "Just excited.. not really.. at all.
City officials in Sioux Falls say just like any other storm; they'll do what they can to keep the streets safe.
Kevin says "After the last ten days or so, folks kinda know what it takes to get the town plowed out and we're just gearing up for another round."
Workers will be out all night clearing streets, and tomorrow as many as 100 could be out at one time. The cost for the coming storm could run over 400 thousand dollars.
Kevin says "We may be at this all winter, who knows."
While officials say the city will be ready, the people in the city, are just hoping for the best.
Troy says "Nothing we can do about it."
DeAnn says "Getting stuck.. cold."
Curtis says "It's fun the first few times and that.. I like the different seasons, but you get tired of it pretty quick."
City officials say they sent out crews at four today to try and clear off the rest of the snow from the last storm, and they anticipate those trucks will continue to stay out through the night.
