Construction season is kicking in across the state.
The South Dakota Department of Transportation says a contractor on Monday is beginning a $570,000 rehabilitation of bridges on Highway 44, Highway 47 and Highway 1806 in Gregory County. Traffic will be reduced to one 12-foot lane of traffic.
Work is also beginning on projects in Eureka.
A 3-million reconstruction of Highway 10 from the south junction of Highway 47 on the west to the north Highway 47 junction on the east side of Eureka will include grading, curbs and gutters, sidewalks, storm sewers, lighting and asphalt concrete surfacing.
The city of Eureka is also beginning an $890,000 sewer improvement project that will replace more than 12,000 feet of sanitary sewer pipe and 33 manholes.
