The Denny Sanford PREMIER Center is starting to take shape in Sioux Falls. With the naming rights secured and the luxury boxes all purchased, city officials had a new announcement, Thursday.
Loge boxes ranging from 12 to 24 thousand dollars at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center went on sale at noon two weeks ago. They sold quickly.
“These companies were just blowing up my phone for the lack of a better word,” said Ryan Querry, General Manager of Sales and Marketing with Legends Sales and Marketing.
“Loge boxes, the entire inventory that we have to sell, 30 minutes. Sold out,” said Darrin Smith the Sioux Falls Director of Community Development.
Loge boxes are slightly smaller than the luxury boxes sold earlier this year but come with similar amenities.
And financially, the events center is ahead of the pace.
"Between naming rights, sponsorships, and premiums seating, those three check marks represent at least $1.8 million,” said Smith.
While none of these companies will be able to enjoy their loge boxes for another year plus, city officials says the construction for the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center is right on schedule.
“We're more than off of the ground. Sheet rock is going down. The concrete is being poured on the concourses,” said Kendra Siemonsma, the Construction Project Manager.
130 contractors work on the construction site, preparing for the day the doors open. And city planners like Darrin smith say, the support couldn't be better.
“To say that we are ahead of things and we're pleased with where we are and where we know we’re going to go yet, would be an understatement. We're thrilled, but we have a lot of work ahead of us,” said Smith.
As construction workers continue to build, even before a roof goes overhead, every luxury and loge box is sold out.
