SD Athlete Passes Away After Battle With Cancer

A Dakota Wesleyan athlete who ran track after having his left leg amputated has died.
Hunter Bork was a KDLT athlete of the week.
He competed for the Dakota Wesleyan track team. Hunter lost his left leg to bone cancer while in high school at Mt Vernon.
He decided to run track and later competed in the Para-lympics, setting a new American record for the high jump.
Hunter thought he was cancer free, but in 2011 doctors found more tumors and the cancer spread.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
Hunter was 23.
