Storm Get Crucial Win Over Chicago

Bookmark and Share

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. --  With their playoff picture cloudy the Sioux Falls Storm picked up a much needed win against the United Conference-leading Chicago Slaughter.

The Storm won their 30th straight game at the Arena, defeating Chicago 53-38, avenging a 61-56 loss suffered at Chicago three weeks ago.

More importantly the Storm (7-4) moved past the Slaughter (7-5) and into one of the final two playoff spots in the United Conference.  Sioux Falls could further solidify their playoff chances next week when they host the new conference leader, Cedar Rapids (7-4).

Terrance Bryant went 23-32 for 234 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.  When the Storm reached the Chicago ten yardline they switched quarterbacks to the more mobile Martevious Young.  The move proved to be a good one as Young scored three rushing touchdowns and passed for another.
