Scheels Plays Of The Week

Bookmark and Share

5.) Aaron Hicks from the Twins has had a quiet season to say the least. But, there was nothing quiet about his performance against the White Sox last week. He hit two solo shots.  He only has one other homer all year.  But his night wasn’t over.  In the field he robs one from White Sox slugger Adam Dunn.  The Twins go on to win 10 – 3.

4.)  Brings us to McKennan Park where Jordan Feige and Tanner Hieser take the state doubles championship verse the O'Gorman knights in a must win match.  The Watertown tennis team takes the state team title.

3.) Keeping with tennis.  Last week’s Athlete of the Week, Tommy Entwistle wins the number one singles title. Showing off the power on his serve and celebrating with his brother who won a state title of his own a few years back.

2.) Nate Wolters at the NBA Combine.  He says,’ Yes, I am good enough for the NBA’ and makes a nice behind the back on a one on one drill. The NBA Draft is Thursday, June 27th.

1.) We go to the Storm Shelter where Terrance Bryant finds Clinton Soloman for his first touchdown this season. He brought in another TD before the night was over.  The 7-4 Storm are now tied for 1st in the United Conference.
