Roosevelt "The Franchise" In State Baseball

Bookmark and Share

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.  --  The Roosevelt Roughriders are celebrating a state championship thanks, mostly, to their pitching.

Yesterday Connor Grove took a perfect game into the last inning, and the Riders went on to defeat Brandon Valley 4-2 in the State A Championship.

It's Roosevelt's second state title in three years, and it looks a lot like a dynasty.

"We have become an elite program.  Essentially a franchise.  We're just going to keep working at it.  We're one of the hardest working teams in the state and that's what gets us where we need to be.  And we're going to keep doing it year after year and I look forward to seeing this program grow."  RHS Senior Grove says.

"It feels good and, getting to the state championship game three years in a row, it's kind of like a dynasty."  RHS Senior Lucas Wilber says.
