Jacks Shut Down Bison To Climb The Summit

Bookmark and Share

ROCHESTER, MI --  After finishing runner-up at the Summit League Baseball Tournament in three of the last four years, South Dakota State wouldn't be shut out from the NCAA Tournament in 2013.  Instead they shut out North Dakota State over 18 innings of championship play.

Needing to beat the Bison twice, SDSU defeated NDSU 2-0 in the first game.  The Jacks followed with a 1-0 win in the winner-take-all second game, earning their first ever bid to the NCAA Tournament in the Division One era.  You can view highlights by clicking on the video viewer.

SDSU will learn their tournament draw at 11 AM tomorrow during the Selection Show on ESPNU.  The team will hold a viewing party at Cubbys in Brookings and invite fans to attend.
