Birds Bats Quiet In Winnipeg Opener

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. --  After clubbing five homeruns in an 11-6 win over Wichita on Sunday, the Sioux Falls Canaries were shut down in the opener of a four game series with Winnipeg.  The division-leading Goldeyes defeated Sioux Falls 5-1 on Monday evening at the Birdcage. 

The Canaries scored their lone run on a sacrifice fly by Nick Van Stratten in the third inning.  The series continues tomorrow night at 7:05.
