Governor, Lieutenant Attending Training Exercises

Gov. Dennis Daugaard and Lt. Gov. Matt Michels are attending training exercises for 55 military units from several states and nations in the Black Hills.
The 29th annual Golden Coyote training exercise put on by the South Dakota National Guard will provide military units from the Army, Navy and Air Force with training necessary to support overseas operations and homeland defense.
Some of the training exercises include urban combat operations, land navigation, first aid and casualty evacuation.
Daugaard and Michels are scheduled to visit from 8 a.m. to noon MDT on Saturday.
The training exercises will occur throughout the Black Hills, in both urban and rural wilderness areas.
