"Showtime", Cooper Come To Legends

Bookmark and Share

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. --  The Legends basketball camp added a little "showtime" with former Los Angeles Laker Michael Cooper.

Hundreds of youngsters came out to learn from the former five-time world champion at Washington High School this morning.

Known as the Lakers' best defender during their Showtime 80's Era, Cooper preaches hard work, both on the court and in the classroom.

And you can still hear that Showtime flair anytime you talk to him.

"First of all it's going to be hard work, so you guys better come ready to play, and you're going to learn something.  But still I have something which I call Coop's "5 D's" which is life lessons skills.  And we can help the kids academically as well as athletically."  Cooper says.
