Great rivalries in golf are hard to come by.
In Parkston it happens every day between sisters Sydney and Jordan Bormann.
"We go back and forth!" Sydney says.
"I would say right from the beginning it was competitive. Because we started around the same age, maybe her a year or so later, but I think that's made both of us better." Jordan says.
It's shown at the State A Tournament the last two years. Parkston won the team championship each season, and Sydney was the individual champion in 2012, with her older sister finishing 5th.
"Obviously I would want to win but I'm happy for her because she deserves it too." Jordan says.
But when their rounds end, so does the rivalry.
"I observe two sisters on the course throwing down pretty good. And then after that, the van rides, yes they're sisters. And I'll call it more than sisters, I'll call it best friends." Parkston Coach Tyler Hocket says.
It's a rivalry where family...
"Once we get to the clubhouse we're sisters again. And we can shake it off and it's really brought us a lot closer." Sydney says.
"We are sisters but we're also best friends so when we walk off the golf course it's just like nothing happened." Jordan says.
...Always comes first.
