Laredo used a three-run seventh inning to grab a win against Sioux Falls, 5-3. The Canaries and Lemurs were tied heading into the seventh, but Laredo quickly took the lead in the first three batters of the inning. Harrison Kain, Garrett Rau, and Jimmy Mojica led the inning off with three straight hits that plated two runs. Later in the inning, Sawyer Carroll drove in an insurance run with an RBI single. Sioux Falls 1B Tim Pahuta hit a solo home run in the eighth, but Mike Benacka shut the door with a perfect ninth. Benacka has now converted each of his last five saves and has been perfect in each of those appearances.
