The U.S. Senate has approved legislation to construct a visitor center at the Minuteman Missile National Historic Site in South Dakota.
Sens. John Thune and Tim Johnson announced Thursday that the Senate unanimously approved the legislation.
The bill calls for transferring approximately 29 acres of National Forest Service land to the National Park Service to build a visitor facility and provide parking.
The bill now heads to the House of Representatives for consideration.
