MIAMI, FL -
- Game 7 of the 2013 NBA Finals was not the best in Mitchell native Mike Miller's career, but it might be his most memorable. That's because his entire family, including 2-year old daughter Jaelyn, was at the game and celebrated with him after. The Miami Heat defeated San Antonio 95-88 to clinch their second consecutive NBA Championship.
Jaelyn was born with several small holes in her heart and barely survived as an infant.
She wasn't healthy enough to be at last year's Finals clincher, but last night Jaelyn and the entire family were there to cheer daddy on, and give everyone a dose of perspective.
"She still has a few little holes in her heart but nothing to where they have concerns. And our pediatric cardiologist told us that she's 100 percent clear, we don't need to worry about it, so that's the best thing that you can ask for." Mike's Wife Jennifer says.
"I'm so happy that Jaelyn's fine and I'm happy that she's here at Game 7." Mike's Son Mavrick says.
"When you have children, it kind of puts things into perspective for you. You realize that okay, this is a game, this is my job, but this is more important, my family." Miami Forward Chris Bosh says.
