MIAMI, FL --
For the first time since 1997, Mitchell native Mike Miller has won back to back championships.
Chances are the rings he gets from the Miami Heat are just a bit bigger than the ones he got for winning a state title at Mitchell though.
Miller started the last four games of the NBA Finals, including last night's decisive Game 7.
He didn't score in the Heat's 95-88 championship clinching win, but finished the series 11-of-18 from beyond the arc, averaging nearly 20 minutes a game.
"Long year, but it's worth everything. When you got the depth that we have you got to be patient sometimes. Fortunately for me I was able to get my number called in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals and was able to be a big part of the Finals which is your dream." Miller said after the game.
