Storm's Dynamic Duo Sticks Together

Bookmark and Share

Wherever Tory Harrison goes, Martevious Young seems to follow.

"We just kind of been seeing a lot of each other throughout the years.  I think it's just a big coincidence."  Young says.

Coincidence?  Not likely.  They've played together almost ever year since 2006 when they began their college careers at Southern Miss.

"First year of college he was my first roommate.  Ever since then we always had a bond together and we jell together pretty well."  Harrison says.

So much so that they practically complete each others sentences.

"First impressions, kinda cold."  Young says.

"The weather was probably like the biggest change for me."  Harrison says.

Even their stats with the Storm are nearly identical.  Harrison has 15 rushing touchowns.  Despite missing half the season with an injury, Young has 12.

"We played against Tory quite a bit so we knew what he was about.  Martevious, we only saw flashes of him."  Storm Coach Kurtiss Riggs says.

"People kind of realize the talent that we have and the skill set that we have and I think it's just a great asset with each other."  Young says.

Thankfully for the Storm, wherever Tory and Martevious go....

...Touchdowns follow.
