A manager for a new trolley service for tourists in the Black Hills says it's off to a slow start.
The Deadwood Attractions Trolley takes visitors to various sites around town for a flat rate of $3. Trolley manager Bob Nelson Sr. says the trial service is meant to offer visitors to Deadwood a low-cost way to see the city's museums and attractions. The service started May 27.
But Nelson says ridership on the trolley has been low. And the city has decided to reduce service to just three days a week.
A manager of one of the attractions serviced by the trolley says the concept is good but that it starts too late in the day.
