The Great Plains Zoo officially opened their latest attraction, Saturday, called 'Monkeys, Magic and More!'
Ten snow monkeys now call the zoo home. The monkeys are native to Japan and are considered an endangered species, but just like a number of other animals there, zoo officials plan on breeding the monkeys.
The newest member of the pack is a 2 month old monkey who is still spending plenty of time with his mother.
“Summer or winter, this will be a fun exhibit to watch. And these are really special animals indeed, our zoo is one of only 13 zoos in the country to have snow monkeys,” said Elizabeth Whaley, CEO Great Plains Zoo.
With their thick fur the monkeys will be 'monkeying around' all year long.
