SIOUX FALLS, S.D. --
If defense and experience really win championships then the Sioux Falls Storm will take their seventh indoor championship in tonight's United Bowl.
The Nebraska Danger will take take offense to that idea....with their offense!
Nebraska has the IFL's top ranked offense. Led by League MVP and Offensive Player of the Year Jameel Sewell the Danger average just a shade under 55 points a game.
They'll go head-to-head against the Storm's top ranked thunder defense. Sioux Falls is allowing just under 36 points a game.
This is Nebraska's first championship game appearance in just their third year of existence. For the Storm it's their 8th championship trip 6th with Terrance Bryant at the helm.
And they've got their routine for this moment down pat.
"We won't do anything different. Every game's a championship for us. This will be the exact same as week one for us. Week one Green Bay was the champion that we were facing, this week it's Nebraska." Storm Head Coach Kurtiss Riggs says.
"They're very disciplined and they're physical and they don't make a lot of mistakes. So it's not just going to be me, it's going to be everybody that's gonna have to pull their own weight like they been doing all season." Nebraska QB Jameel Sewell says.
"That's the reason I came back. I told the guys in the locker room that's why 15 here. Not just for the regular season. 15 here to win a championship." Storm QB Terrance Bryant says.
You can probably expect a close game.
The Danger won 30-21 in Grand Island on March 2nd, and the Storm returned the favor 43-41 at the Arena on May 4th.
