Residents Get The Chance To 'Tour Sioux Falls'

Bookmark and Share

Saturday and Sunday residents of the Sioux Empire are invited to ‘Tour Sioux Falls,’ on their bicycles.

The purpose of the two day event is to get people off of their couches, out of their homes and up on their feet. Saturday, people were invited to ride all 20 miles of the bike trail in Sioux Falls. Sunday, over two miles of downtown will be closed so cyclists will be able to bike around.

“It's an open streets project where we take the vehicles off of the street for a period of time, so we can allow walkers, joggers and cyclists, to come out and enjoy the streets. And see the city from a different view,” said Wes Hall, Director of Sioux Falls Sports Authority.

Over 600 cyclists are signed up to ‘Tour Sioux Falls.’
