More than 250 kids took to downtown Sioux Falls for the 4th Annual Apple Tree Children's Center parade.
The children, ages 5 to 12 years old, began walking near 5th Street in Phillips Avenue at around 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The plan was to walk to Falls Park but the construction in the area cut the parade a little short.
The Center says the parade gives them a chance to teach the children about why we celebrate Independence Day and what the red, white, and blue colors on the flag stand for. They are even taught patriotic songs. Some even dressed up for the parade.
