SDSU Alum Bougher Returns With Salt Dogs

Bookmark and Share

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. --  The Lincoln Salt Dogs are in town tonight for the first of four games with the Canaries.  And for Lincoln pitcher Stephen Bougher, it's a homecoming of sorts.

Stephen went 22-15 the last four years at South Dakota State.

He went 8-2 with a 2.86 earned run average this year in helping the Jacks reach their first ever NCAA Tournament.

Shortly after graduation Bougher signed with Lincoln and has been solid so far.

In three appearances this season Bougher is 1-1 with a 2.57 ERA.

He'll start Monday night's game, making his first appearance at the birdcage since beating North Dakota State in the Summit League Tournament two years ago.

"Really nice coming back to Sioux Falls.  Good to see some friends, family, what not.  And always love pitching here.  Had a good outing here two years ago so excited to try and repeat.  Not a whole lot of time off from regionals to pitching in pro ball here.  Really enjoying it, fun transition."  Bougher says.
