Police ID Man In Monday's Motorcycle Accident

The Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office has released the name of the man who died in a motorcycle accident on Monday night.

61-year-old James Edward Hunnel of Crooks was traveling west bound on 258th Street, just west of Ditch Road, around 10PM when the motorcycle he was driving struck a deer.  Hunnel was ejected from the motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet.

Around 20 first responders were on the scene to provide aid to Hunnel who had to be taken by helicopter to a nearby hospital.

The Minnehaha County Sherriff's Office is continuing the investigation.
