Miller Happy To See Iverson, Wolters Drafted

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. --  SDSU's Nate Wolters and Yankton's Colton Iverson are trying to follow a path that Mike Miller began trailblazing for South Dakotans nearly two decades ago.

The Mitchell native and Miami Heat sharp shooter is back in town this week for his annual charity event to raise money for Sanford Childrens clinic.

Mike says it's great to see a new generation of South Dakotans get their shot in the NBA.

"My time is coming than end, so, the state of South Dakota deserves to see this stuff.   You know, it deserves to see people going on and doing good things.  And I'm happy for the kids because I know how hard it is to get there.  I know what you do from the time you're three years old to the time you get drafted.  I've heard everyone say you're not gonna make it.  Whether they play one minute or they have a 14, 15 year career, they've done something very few people have ever done."  Miller said.

Both Wolters and Iverson were drafted in the second round of the 2013 NBA Draft and traded.  Wolters is just beginning summer league play in Las Vegas with Milwaukee.  Iverson concluded his summer league stint in Orlando with the Boston Celtics yesterday.
