The race for South Dakota's open U.S. Senate seat in 2014 has another entrant.
Dr. Annette Bosworth, who is originally from Plankinton, announced Tuesday on her family farm that she is going to run for Congress.
Bosworth joins former Gov. Mike Rounds and State Sen. Larry Rhoden seeking the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate. Rick Weiland is running for the Democratic nomination.
Bosworth says she has traveled across South Dakota during the past year, trying to gauge what the citizens want in their next senator. She says her medical background fits the bill perfectly, and the smaller communities are what give her hope for change in politics.
