MINNEAPOLIS, MN --
Caleb Thielbar's professional career in Major League Baseball with the Twins is off to a strong start.
The former Jackrabbit started his career with a 20 inning scoreless streak, but like all rookies, he's starting to deal with a little bit of failure.
After beginning his career with a Twins-record 17 straight scoreless appearances, Caleb gave up his first run on July 8th on a Ben Zobrist homerun. Two outings later he gave up another homerun, this time to the Yankees' Ichiro Suzuki.
Despite that Caleb's still 1-0 on the year with an earned run average below one. Thielbar knew he'd eventually face some adversity, but knows his attitude can't change.
"I knew it's not going to be easy. I mean, you got to be at your best every single time you go out there here. So, I mean, I guess it'/ just a matter of sticking with the routine and trusting what you have." Caleb says.
