A Sioux Falls company has turned to social media to help catch two people who allegedly stole from their store.
Steve Bormes, the owner of Rug and Relic, which is located downtown, said on Saturday someone stole this $50 koozie. Bormes said he took pictures from surveillance footage and posted them on Facebook. People then started calling him, giving him tips on who the people in the video were. Police said Jeffrey and Kathy Heimen eventually came into the store claiming that they found the stolen koozie. Bormes said he gave the Heimen's three chances to fess up, but they stuck to their story.
“I gave them a last chance to tell me what happened and I won’t press charges. I don't care why it happened, just tell me the truth,” said Owner of Rug and Relic Steve Bormes.
The Heimen's were charged with second degree petty theft.
