Governor Dennis Daugaard and the owner of the Madison Dairy Queen were supposed to jump out of an airplane for charity, Thursday.
However, due to some unfavorable weather conditions, Daugaard and Delon Mork had to cancel their jump.
Daugaard and Mork were supposed to skydive in Madison at around 8 o'clock Thursday tonight.
Daugaard promised to jump if the Madison dairy queen sold 32,000 Blizzards on "Miracle Treat Day" on August 8th.
Dairy Queen surpassed their goal, selling more than 38,000 Blizzards.
Proceeds from "Miracle Treat Day" go to local Children's Miracle Network hospitals.
“Even though there is not much wind, whatever wind was there, was going away from the field,” said Gov. Duagaard.
“We could have landed but it would have been two miles down there, for a clean, clear shot. So, it wasn't meant to be tonight,” added Mork.
Daugaard and Mork say they will reschedule their jump this summer.
