'Swimming Gone To The Dogs'

Bookmark and Share

Over 400 dogs were happy the sun was shining Sunday. That’s because at Terrace Park Family Aquatic Center swimming went to the dogs, literally.

For about seven years now, at the end of each summer dogs and their owners are invited to have a pool day. But in this case, humans aren’t allowed to take a dip into the pool, it’s all for their furry friends.

For Kelly Neuroth and her husband, they’ve gone to the special swimming day with their two dogs for the past six years. Neuroth said it’s a perfect way to end the swim season.

“I think it’s wonderful that they make good use of the pool before they drain it. They have to clean it anyways, so I think it turns out great,” said Neuroth.

If you missed out on Sunday’s event you’re not out of luck. ‘Swimming Gone To The Dogs,’ will take place again on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at Laurel Park from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
