The Brandon City Council has decided to schedule a public vote on a $14.8 million park improvement project.
An Oct. 29 election has been scheduled on the bond resolution for Aspen Park.
Two property owners told the council they support the improvements, but they are worried about how much property taxes will have to be increased to fund it.
Local softball and baseball associations have pledged money to the project. And a task force has identified other funding opportunities, such as naming rights for the baseball and softball field, playground area, concessions and more.
