Beaver Creek Nature Area near Brandon took a trip back in time Sunday for the 35th Annual Homesteader Day Harvest Festival.
Everything in the park was dated back to 100 years ago. Visitors had the opportunity to dress up and participate in buggy rides, listen to music and even participate in pioneer crafts such as rope making.
Event coordinators say it lets us return to the joys of our past, if only for one day.
"It shows the generations what took place when grandma or great grandma were actually children," said District Park Supervisor Travis Theilen.
The annual one-day event was free to the public.
