A judge has sentenced a Sioux Falls man to 30 years in prison for several robberies.
Domach Kong Khai broke down in tears while apologizing to the community, victims and his own family for a string of five convenience store robberies in 2012.
Khai will be required to pay restitution for all five robberies, even though he was only convicted on three counts.
Officers say that in December 2012, Khai made three anonymous tip calls to police with information about the robberies.
Police began to suspect Khai was the one who robbed the stores because the details that he gave in the calls had not been released to the public.
In July, Khai reached a plea agreement where he pled guilty to three counts of first degree robbery in exchange for a reduced maximum prison sentence.
