Moms Going Green With Consignment Sale

Bookmark and Share

The saying "what goes around comes around" is not often used to describe good deeds. However, a Sioux Falls area consignment sale is changing that.

The bi-annual consignment sale, "What Goes Around Comes Around" kicked off its fall and winter sale Saturday morning. The sale offers gently used children's clothing, toys, and books from more than 300 consigners.

A portion of all proceeds earned will go towards Children's Miracle Network. The effort stems from an idea of "going green" by reusing old clothing.

"We feel like, in terms of a carbon footprint, people can come here and purchase these gently used items instead of going out and buying everything brand new," said sale organizer, Alison Sahly.

The sale will continue through Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon at the Central Baptist Church on Ralph Rogers Rd. Consigners will have the option of marking 50% off on all items that have not yet sold.
