Police say a shooting that happened over the weekend in southwest sioux falls is drug-related.
Police say a 33-year-old man was sleeping at his home on the 3900 block of S. Terry Ave. early Sunday morning when someone entered his bedroom and shot him. Police say three shots were fired. They found one casing in the bedroom, the other two were found on the other side of the duplex.
The victim was struck twice in the shoulder and in the head. Police say the bullet went through his left temple and came out through his right cheek, however, his injuries are non-life threatening.
The victim's roommate went to a neighbors to call police. Neither the victim or his roommate saw the suspect. Police aren't sure if the suspect broke into the home, but believe the shooter fired from the bedroom the victim was in.
