Bookmark and Share

Readers from across the country and around the world came together to show their support for early childhood literacy on Thursday.

KDLT's Phil McIllrath, Laura Monteverdi and Stephanie Barichello took park in the event called "Read for the Record."

The KDLT News Today morning crew had the opportunity to read the book "Otis" to kindergarten classes at Laura Wilder Elementary in Sioux Falls.

The goal was to try and break the previous year's record for the number of people reading the same book on the same day.
