Authorities are asking residents who live in low-lying areas of Keystone and surrounding areas in South Dakota to move to higher ground because of high water.
Pennington County emergency management officials say heavy rains in the area are leading to rising creek levels and flash flooding.
A Red Cross shelter has been set up at the Hermosa Elementary School for residents who have been evacuated from the Keystone area.
The National Weather Service is forecasting up to 1 inch of rain Friday morning in an area that is already soaked from melting snow.
