As promised, Minnesota Vikings' Running Back Adrian Peterson started in their game against Carolina Sunday.
It comes after he missed practice for personal reasons Thursday for what he called 'a family issue'. Peterson's father confirmed that the 2-year-old boy who was allegedly abused by a Sioux Falls man and later died, is Peterson's son.
Peterson was back at practice Friday. Before the game Sunday, he told his teammates that he would give it his all.
Peterson said, "It was tough. You know, this is a crazy situation. Inside, you lose a child, doesn't matter how the situation is, it hurts. Can't describe it. But I've got a good supporting cast surrounding me. And I'll be good."
Peterson had 10 carries for 62 yards in the Vikings' loss to the Panthers.
