They've traveled more than 4,600 miles, and for the next few weeks, some high school students from Germany will be calling Sioux Falls home.
This weekend, 23 students from Potsdam, which is near Berlin, arrived in Sioux Falls to take part in an international exchange program with Lincoln High School. It's set up through the Sioux Falls Sister Cities with hopes of better improving cultural differences.
Even though the students have only been in town a few days, they're already surprised by the some of the differences between Germany and the Mount Rushmore state.
While in Sioux Falls each student will be staying with a host family. The students will return to Potsdam on October 26. Next May, Lincoln students will travel to Potsdam for the second half of the exchange.
