The man accused of fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend in west-central Minnesota has offered to plead guilty.
Twenty-eight-year-old Andrew Dikken is offering to plead guilty to two counts of second-degree murder, according to a motion filed in court this week.
If he pleads guilty to the two counts, Dikken says expects he would receive a total sentence of 52.5 years under state sentencing guidelines.
Prosecutors have not responded to the plea offer.
Dikken is charged in the shooting deaths of 26-year-old Kara Monson and her 28-year-old boyfriend, Chris Panitzke.
Dikken was the subject of a two-week manhunt after the Sept. 2 shootings at Monson's Granite Falls home.
He remains in jail on $3 million bail.
