Halloween is less than two weeks away and buying new costumes year after year isn't cheap.
That's why the City of Sioux Falls decided to offer a variety of costumes for those on a budget Saturday. SiouxLand Libraries hosted their annual Kids Costume Swap.
From 9 to 11 o'clock Saturday morning, families were able bring in gently used children's costumes and swap them at the library on North Dakota Avenue for a different one. The library had about 50 costumes on display for boys, girls, infants and toddlers.
Coordinators say it's a great way to get involved in the community while saving a little cash too.
“Kids just grow so fast and it's just great because they will have something different and new every year,” said SiouxLand Library Employee, Alice Reker.
Saturday was the only day to swap costumes.
