Judge Ups Patterson's Bond To $1 Million

The Sioux Falls man now charged with murdering a two-year-old child sits in jail on a $1 million bond.
A judge upped Joseph Patterson's bond from $750,000 Tuesday morning during a teleconference hearing.
On Friday, a Lincoln County grand jury indicted the 27-year-old in the death of two-year-old Tyrese Robert Ruffin. Patterson is charged with assaulting Tyrese in a Sioux Fall’s apartment. The boy died after being hospitalized with severe head injuries.
Patterson has a long criminal history including being charged with abusing another young boy and that boy's mother. Tyrese's mother was dating Patterson, his father is Minnesota Viking’s running back Adrian Peterson.
