They work as hard as any other sport.
"We're in the gym by 3:15. We're at school til 5:30 every night." Washington Senior Anna Kate Nieman says.
Even though some refuse to acknowledge them as one.
"I just let them talk because I know that they can't do anything I can do!" Anna Kate says.
But you can't argue with the results Washington's dance team produces year, after year, after year.
"They're very confident because they do work so hard that every year they just build on that confidence. They know they're returning state champions. They're the team to beat and they don't let it go to their head." Washington Cheer & Dance Coach Angela Nieman says.
The Warriors are seeking their sixth straight title at this week's State meet.
"Some teams may be intimidated. But we know that none of us are too confident and we're always putting ourselves lower than we should." Washington Junior Rachel Konrad says.
And if you doubt their dynasty, chances are you can't dance.
"I just don't let it get to me because they don't know how hard what we're doing is. And, so, if they're going to try and tell me that I'm not doing that, I guess they're just uninformed and don't really know what they're talking about." Anna Kate says.
