Sioux Falls Computer Store Burglarized

Bookmark and Share

Sioux Falls Police are investigating a burglary that occurred on Thursday night at Bit's-N-Byte's on N. Minnesota Avenue.

Owner Lisa Giannini received a call from police around 11 p.m. saying someone smashed the front glass door with a rock and took some laptops. When her and her husband arrived at the store, they discovered 5 laptops were stolen, estimated at $2,000.

According to Giannini, surveillance tape captured the burglary including a shot of the suspect and his vehicle.

"They drove up, and were in and out in a minute, so they knew exactly what they were doing and exactly what laptops they were looking for," said Giannini.

A sign on the newly installed door alerts customers that the store will be closed on Friday.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
