Dual Threat Christion Makes Roosevelt Dangerous

Bookmark and Share

To Run or not to run... That is the question.. And when you have speed at the QB position like the kind of speed Taryn Christion has.. chances are.. You're team is winning games.. Something the Roosevelt Rough Riders find themselves doing this season..

And with a weapon like Christion.. It keeps any defense honest.. Waiting for the run.... Or the throw...

Kim Nelson, RHS FB Coach:"We've always had a qb centered offense and this year we just happen to have a guy playing qb that's faster than a lot of other guys.. So he's made some big plays for us..."

Taryn Christion, RHS QB:" I run and pass probably about 50 50 but I mean when there's a pass play called I look for the pass.. I've been working on looking for my second and third reads just getting better every week at that and if there is nothing there then ill try and run it."

The Rough Rider Quarterback will tell you first hand without time in the pocket.. A play like this one.. Would be impossible.

Christion says:"yea me and the online men are really close my friendships with them is th ebiggest part of the game they protect me and you got to give them some love and I think I do."

Nelson says:"That a kind of what helps a guy like Taryn have that kind of success our linemen give him sometime time to throw they give him some time to run our receivers get down field to block for big plays that's how it happens."

Taryn Christion will have a year left to play for coach Nelson.. And while his future looks bright.. He worries more on the task at hand

Christion says:"I'm focused on the now and not looking really too far ahead..."

The double threat of Taryn Christion keeps the Rough Riders rolling in the playoffs.
