The District Opens In Sioux Falls

More than 50 events are already lined up including concerts, weddings and private parties as crews at The District is plenty busy preparing for opening night.

    

“We really feel like Sioux Falls was ready for something like this,” said Dave Andera.

 

The two tier concert hall can hold 1500 screaming fans and the top floor comes complete with four private suites.

  

There's no doubt concerts will draw a crowd but just down the hall, you'll be able to smell what's cooking.

 

The District will have a full restaurant and multiple bars.

 

“The wood fire grill is a little bit of a new concept for Sioux Falls,” said Andera

 

And if you do want a nice sit down dinner without hearing Uncle Kracker swim through your veins like a fish in the sea, have no worries.

 

“We tested it last night just to make sure and you couldn't hear anything on the other side. Which is really good,” said Andera.

 

Crews in the restaurant and the concert hall are still working on some finishing touches. But, by the time music fills the room, the district will be rocking. 

The District is located in the parking lot of the Empire Mall. So, if there is a sold out concert there should be ample parking.
