Lawsuit Between Hospital, Doctor Dismissed

Bookmark and Share

A civil lawsuit filed by an Aberdeen hospital seeking payment from an Ohio doctor has been dismissed.

The two sides came to an agreement to resolve the case, which was scheduled for trial next week.

The suit by Avera St. Luke's Hospital sought an unspecified amount of money from Dr. Adil Karamali for his part in a 2008 cardiology procedure that led a patient to file a medical malpractice claim.

Karamali denied any wrongdoing and said he did not deviate from the standard of care appropriate for such medical procedures.
