Former SDSU Student Accused Of Spreading HIV

A former South Dakota State University student accused of knowingly spreading the HIV virus was arraigned in Brookings County court today.
Demetrius Colaites pleaded not guilty to two counts of intentional exposure to the HIV infection and having sexual contact with a person incapable of consenting.
The charges come from two different encounters dating back to September and October.
Court papers say Colaites has had HIV since birth.
A trial is scheduled for Colaites on January 15th.
